About
us
The
Latino Networking Consortium is a volunteer grassroots organization led by
local community professionals. It is composed of healthcare, mental health,
and social service providers who have a special interest in serving the
Latino population.
Mission
The
mission of the LNC is to improve the well-being of Latinos in San Diego by providing
opportunities for networking, collaboration, and support for providers of
Latino services.
Vision
To
become a seamless system of care for Latinos in San Diego
What we do
Quarterly Networking Meetings:
We coordinate four main events throughout the year. During these quarterly
meetings, we highlight important topics and often include guest speaker
presentations.
Documents
and Resources:
We offer a variety of information through our website and announcements,
which include:
• Documents and reports on cultural competence and other important issues
affecting Latinos
• Translated documents that can be used as templates or examples. These include
scales, instruments, forms, tools, and other documents.
• Information on a selective list of current research studies being conducted
in San Diego,
as well as information on how to participate in research.
• Documents on the issues relating to the development of a culturally
competent workforce.
• Links to organizations focused on Latino policy and advocacy at National,
State, and local levels.
